EVP - or electronic voice phenomena - is a mysterious event in which human-sounding voices from an unknown source are heard on recording tape, in radio station noise and other electronic media. Most often, EVPs have been captured on audiotape. The mysterious voices are not heard at the time of recording; it is only when the tape is played back that the voices are heard. Sometimes amplification and noise filtering is required to hear the voices. Some EVP is more easily heard and understood than others. And they vary in gender (men and women), age (women and children), tone and emotion. They usually speak in single-words, phrases and short sentences. Sometimes they are just grunts, groans, growling and other vocal noises. EVP has been recorded speaking in various languages.
Note to listeners. Some of these EVPs are very faint and are hard to hear without headphones. This does not mean that they are not there, just that ambient noise of the home, office or wherever can drown out the voices that you are about to hear. ENJOY!
Feel Free to comment on any EVP's on guest book what you hear.
You can hear what sounds like a female saying "I'm not cold"
We left a Digital Voice Recorder up on the second floor for the entire time we were there. We were just leaving the basement and on the main level about to go into the stairwell to go back upstairs. You can hear our voices getting closer and someone right by the recorder is heard saying "Shhhhhh".
can hear me ask "Is there anybody in here with us?" and right after
you can hear a male voice and a female moan.
We caught this EVP of a man apparently saying "Behind You" after an investigator announced her name. You can hear the voice at about 8 seconds.
We were up in the theater's dressing room and picked up a female voice saying "Practice" after we asked a question. Listen at about 11 seconds. You can hear the faint voice. May need headphones but it's worth it!
In this clip, we were talking with one of our clients and they were saying how much they hate listening to themselves on tape. At about :08 seconds you can hear what sounds like a voice say "hello" and then a second or so pause, followed by the word "bye."
Dennis mentions that they canceled the show "Ghost Lab" and says that he is not shocked. Right after it sounds like someone says "I am too."
Listen right after one of our investigators says "smile" for the second time. You can clearly hear someone start to whisper in between the conversation.
This is actually a very clear EVP. You can clearly hear someone say "What's your name?" as a couple of investigators were heading down into the basement on a recent investigation.
Dennis is talking about his father having a heart attack and right after you can hear a whisper that sounds like it says 'lucky'.
